Stu G

Stu Garrard (aka Stu G) has spent a lifetime in music and collaboration. As a founder member, guitarist, and songwriter for the British band Delirious?, Stu's unique voice through guitar and song invited us to "open up the doors" and "dance upon injustice” for many years. Through hard work, and a desire to get alongside people and see them flourish, Stu has become one of the most versatile and sought-after players and writers in Christian music in the last decade. After Delirious? played their last concert in 2009, Stu's journey continued across the pond and around the world. Moving to the USA, Stu found himself connected to a thriving scene of new sounds and open hearts. He was a founder and songwriter for One Sonic Society with Jason Ingram and Paul Mabury and is an integral part of Michael W. Smith's touring and recording team. Stu has written and co-written songs that the church sings around the world. Among the many songs are "Majesty - Here I Am" (Delirious?), "Oh How I Need You" (All Sons and Daughters), "The Greatness of Our God" (OSS, Hillsong, Natalie Grant), "Open Up The Heavens" (Meredith Andrews), "Miracles" (Jesus Culture, Chris Quilala, Michael W. Smith), "Not Just For Me" (Common Hymnal) Stu's passion for Jesus and justice, and to help people become better versions of themselves, has led to Stu's life-work: The Beatitudes Project, a transformational and collaborative body of work which includes a book, "Words from The Hill: An Invitation to The Unexpected;" a collection of songs inspired by The Sermon on The Mount with a diverse community of Christian artists; a documentary film; podcast; study guide; and an eCourse. Stu’s greatest achievement is family. Stu lives in Spring Hill, Tennessee, with his wife Karen, daughter Eden, and Charlie the dog. Stu's other daughter, Kaitlyn, lives in Nashville with her husband and three daughters—yes, Stu LOVES being a grandpa!
