DESCRIPTION:In our upcoming Professional Development series, we are honored to have Dr. Michael W. Waters join us in sharing about Prophetic Preaching and the Public Square.\nIn this webinar, Dr. Waters will discuss how prophetic preaching aids in the pursuit of liberation and justice through the pulpit and in the public square.\nSpecial consideration will be given to prophetic preaching traditions, prophetic preaching types, and prophetic preaching exemplars.\nParticipants will also receive an introduction into theologies of preaching to equip them to identify their own understanding of what preaching is and of what can be accomplished through its practice.\nAbout the Facilitator:\nDr. Michael W. Waters is the founder and lead pastor of the Abundant Life A.M.E. Church in Dallas, Texas. He is a pastor, professor, award-winning author, activist, and social commentator. He has appeared on various news channels such as BBC and PBS, and he has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, and the Washington Post, among other media outlets.\nWaters has received commendations from the White House, Special Congressional Recognition for Service and Leadership from the U. S.
