The last one was given the sententious title, “The Declaration.” This one is equally pompous… “The Boston Declaration.” And this time they have a very serious picture with sackcloth and ashes!

What’s with these self-important Declarations and repetitive references to Barmen? Not everything is 1930s Germany-level of seriousness folks. Lighten up!

As someone has said, where is the resurrection? And where is the triune God? Barth and Bonhoeffer would have called this a failure of nerve.
