I wonder if anyone on here has knows all Gods truths 100%. Have they got him sown up so the knowlege and wisdom of the Lord does not grow as they know everything already and just need to live as sin free and follow God?
I imagine Christians who supported Slavery, supported women being quiet in church and not being allowed to teach men, thought the world was flat, who burnt witches, who made women wear hats etc… all these Christians thought they were right but now we know they are wrong.
There are plenty of other sins which will come in this category gauranteed.

Gentlemen,

We may disagree with one another on many issues here just as the disciples did when it came to issues in the day of Christ. However, I believe that although there are these disagreements we MUST speak and act to one another in a loving, gracious manner so that anyone who stumbles in here will know that we are all disciples of Christ as well.

I’m begging us all to stop the discourse and focus on the the love for which we were commanded to focus upon.

No, not at all!!! I agree with some of the things that he says but also disagree with some of the things he says. I’m just trying to get a feel of people here in these forums and what they do and don’t believe. We really cant have honest, open discussion unless we understand portions of another persons heart.

Really Digger??? You claim that I insult God’s truths by asking general questions about him. You appear as you are absolutely certain you know every aspect of his truths and took insult to the question like your versions of his truth are absolute. Remember what “cometh before the fall”.

If I insulted Frank, I apologize to him, but Im sure he can answer for himself. If I DID insult God or His truths in anyway, Im sure the Holy Spirit will let me know as well.

I will forgive you for your attack but please refrain in the future.

On the discussion of man being good, which the statement doesn’t directly answer, I could concede that man does good things, but how to reconcile that condition with a perfectly holy & just God?

And so you have made a theology of treating people badly, convinced that their frustration, anger and resentment is all part of the difficulty of your “truth”.

I think you can point out sin with compassion. Jesus did it. Give it a try. See where it gets you. Because your current methods just alienate. I know you feel gratification about it, and a sense of moral superiority, but it’s destructive. And sinful.

When living our lives contrary to the Will of God and faced with the truth we will feel convicted, upset, challenged and even hurt if we have made our sin our identity. This is a good thing. It’s the first step towards healing. God help anyone who discourages this process.
