Moving from Exclusion to Embrace in the Gender Conversation

Vincent (Vince) E. Gil, PhD, is an awarded professor, international researcher, counselor, and licensed minister. He received his PhD in Psychological and Medical Anthropology from UCLA, then went on to do postdoctoral work with the famed Masters and Johnson Institute, where he completed years refining his knowledge of human sexuality (medical and clinical). Soon thereafter, he initiated a non-profit counseling service for the faith-based sexually questioning or problemed. When the HIV epidemic reached global proportions in the 1990's, Vince Gil went back to UCLA for postdoctoral work in public health/epidemiology of infectious sexual diseases. He then engaged 16 years of international and national work, ranging from clinical sexology to helping hospitals manage both their HIV/sexually transmitted infections, as well as clinical cases of sexual dysfunctions. Back home, Vince Gil continued to teach Human Sexuality and engage a counseling ministry for a total of 38 years.
